Fund Raising

To raise money for my trip, I've begun with a few simple steps.

  • Selling Home Made Fudge - We have a family recipe for 5lb Fudge that has been in our family for years. I can make chocolate or peanut butter, and if you like I can add nuts to it. I'm selling it for $6/lb or $25/batch. (You save $5 if you buy a whole batch!)
  • Fund Raising Letter to friends and family - Many of you looking at this right now will soon be receiving a letter from me telling you all about my trip to South Africa and Mauritius, and asking you for donations and prayers. Please consider sending a donation to help support this trip.
  • Offering up my services - My parents raised me to work hard for my money, and taught me many useful skills. I can cook, clean, work in the yard, do basic work on most cars (if you've got a manual I can figure out how to do most anything else), and more. If you're interested, please feel free to email me or reply to this post.
  • And more! - Other ideas are floating around in my head right now... yard sales, a concert... if you have an idea about how I can raise funds, don't hesitate to share it with me.
As of now, I've raised $750.00 of the $3,000 I need to raise. I need to have $1,300 by the end of July to purchase my tickets to South Africa, and I need the final $1,000 when I take off to go to South Africa in early September.

Welcome!

Hello!

This blog will be my primary way to reach out to the people supporting me in my ministries. This Fall I will be traveling to South Africa and the island of Mauritius, with Pastor Jackie Wessels, who lives in Johannesburg. While I am in South Africa, I will be visiting multiple churches preaching and teaching. In Mauritius I will be visiting different churches, working with people in the native areas of the island, helping Pastor Jackie spread the word about a Bible College he is founding on the Island.

I plan on flying out of SeaTac airport around September 3rd and returning around October 1st.

If you have any questions about this trip, or other ministries I will be involved in, feel free to email me or comment on any of these posts.
